Buy with confidence!

Excellent, book on technical analysis for beginners, without overwhelming the reader with useless technical, babble, rhetoric. Very clear and convincing, many other authors can take a lesson on how to write a simplistic, yet effective book on technical analysis. I dropped out after 4 chapters of 'Technical Analysis Demystified', by Candice Brown, another McGraw Hill book, due to not having a clue as to what I was reading, only to be refreshed in realizing that i'm not as dumb as I thought I was, after being lost in the sauce of the Demystified book. I've put Mr. Pring's instructions to proper use, and right away I'm able to spot key signals to get in and out of a trade. This book puts more tools in my investment bag, and has made me into an multifaceted square cut diamond, as opposed to a 1 pump, cabochon, chump!

Author response to missing URL to training video

To everyone who has purchased Martin's latest "Introduction to Technical Analysis", we do apologize for the lack of the link featured on the cover. Unfortunately, as the author, we cannot control what happens to the manuscript or external files promised once a contract is signed by the author and publisher and the work has left our control. Once the author signs over the rights, he loses all rights to the work. Again, the publisher owns these rights legally. Please note we provided the files to the publisher, so they do exist, but were unfortunately left out of the final copy prior to printing.
As for our site pring.com hosting the file; we cannot. This is a legal issue and we would be challenged by the publisher for illegally posting copyrighted material.
We do hope the publisher will correct these errors when the next printing of the book occurs. However, in it's defense, the book has been updated from the earlier edition which was in print for 15 years and is a great learning tool for beginner technicians!

Where is the Training Video?

Just received the book. There is NO CD, DVD enclosed NOR is there any link provided for "Featuring Access to an Exclusive Basics of Technical Analysis Training Video" as shown in red letters and inside the yellow arrow on the front cover of the book. I have checked the author's website and there is no link given NOR is the book even shown for sale on the author's website. I have sent an email asking for the link and will update this review if I receive a reply from the Pring website.
Glancing though the book the chapters appear to be in digestible portions and the charts and drawings are clear.
Update: It is now Oct 16 and I have still not heard from either Martin Pring via his website email nor McGraw Hill the publisher. It appears neither is interest in their reputation, veracity, or honor. Their word now means nothing. Their inaction has proven that.
Shame on Martin Pring. Shame on McGraw Hill.
Do not buy this book. You will not be getting what they advertise CLEARLY on the front cover. Enough said.
